This park provides excellent habitat for most of the endangered species of wildlife and birds. Since 1994 basic facilities were provided for independent visitors
The best time to visit Bardia National Park is from October to April as the weather is usually dry, with warm days and the cool nights. From mid-April, the temperature begins to rise and the days become hot and humid. The temperature can reach up to 45ºC in May. In June the monsoon rainy season begins and continues through September. It is unwise to visit the park during the monsoon season as the rains can last for days and transportation is severely limited by the extremely poor conditions of the roads.
