Everest region is known for climbing purpose, offers breathtaking views of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest, multiple peaks choice for climbing such as Mera peak, Island Peak, Everest, Louboche and many more. From small scale to large, there are many small and large mountains in this region but small-scale peak climbing has been one of the most adventurous and attractive activities for both alpine climbers and high adventure trekking. This is the most beautiful region in Nepal and one can feel like standing in heaven when we visit here.

This region is the homeland of many beautiful peaks that includes Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,858m), Cho Oyu (8,201m) and many others. The mountaineering history started in Himalaya when two legendary mountaineers Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary made to the top of the Mt. Everest, World’s highest Mountain. The climate is too cold in this region and whether may get worse during climbing so the best season to climb mountains is especially in spring and autumn. One should get permit and TMS card to visit this region and for climbing up the mountain.

Climate

The temperature of Everest region is usually low, during the winter season the temperature gets extremely low and snowfalls in the higher altitude while in summer season it gets cool and temperate when the sunrise respectively gets cold and chilly after the sun sets. During rains, the climate is usually cold. October- November, December- February, and March-May is the best time to visit this region. During spring and fall, Mountaineering expedition takes place.

Accommodation

You can access to Everest region by air or on foot. By air, you fly to Lukla which is 30-minute flight, served by many airlines from Kathmandu. You can take a bus from Old Bus Park near Ratna Park; Kathmandu that takes you to Jiri which is 10-hour drive and walks for 2-3 days leads you to Lukla. There is a good facility for hotels, resorts, lodges with tea houses along the trekking trails. During the trail, you can get the chance to experience camping site and options.
