Langtang is the name of a region in the Himalayas of Nepal where a beautiful Langtang Valley and freshwater Lake Gosainkund are located. Both these places lie to the north of the Kathmandu Valley and are connected by road from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Shyaprubeshi within the distance of  130 km. Langtang, literally, is considered Nepal’s third most popular trekking region where one can explore the incomparable natural beauty and cultural richness. One of the highest peaks including Langtang Lirung (7,245 m) lies in this region. Also, we can view Ganesh Himal and Manaslu Himalayan from this region. Langtang region is the third most popular destination after Everest and Annapurna region trails due to its adventurous and challenging trails.

A visit to the Langtang region is an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of the Tamangs ( one of the ethnic groups of people), whose craftsmanship, language, costume, and houses bear uniqueness. Langtang is rich in glacier sights, around 70 different sizes. It is also famous for holy Gosikunda lake, yak cheese factory. There are no flight services like other regions, but we can easily take the local bus or any other vehicle from Kathmandu.
