The Makalu region trekking lies in the eastern part of Nepal. The trail passes through beautiful mountains of Arun valley, Makalu Barun national park and Shipton pass before starting the journey that lies with an altitude of 5,000m. The Arun valley is the home of 650 species of birds and around 800 species of butterfly and also endangered animals like Panda that can be found only in Nepal.
Makalu region is rich in flora and fauna especially rhododendrons (national flower) that can be seen only on march too April. From the Makalu region we can see the beautiful view of Mt.everest (8848m), Ama Dablam (6456m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyu (8152m) and mt. Lhotse (8516m).
