Details Itinerary Map Photos Tour Overview Everest Base Camp Gokyo trek, the most challenging and exciting trek in the Everest Region. It follows the route via high pass called Chola Pass at 5420 meters into Mt. Everest Base Camp (5364m). Trekking to Gokyo – Chola Pass & Everest Base Camp begins with an amazing flight to Lukla. From Lukla, you will walk uphill slowly following the trail to the Dudh Kosi ( ‘River of Milk’), and all through forests of rhododendron, pine, and magnolia. After few hours of trekking, you will eventually reach Namche Bazaar (3,340 m) and spend one more day at Namche Bazaar which is the amusing capital of Sherpa’s for adjustment and alternative hike inside Namche. After spending some time there you will visit other Sherpa villages such as Phortse Tanga and Machhermo before heading for Gokyo Lakes. After reaching Gokyo Lake you climb Gokyo Ri (5369m) and from the top of Gokyo Ri you will enjoy stunning peaks of different mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. From Kala Pattar, you enjoy an impressive up-close view of Mt. Everest. Then, next day morning you trek to Everest Base Camp. When you return from Everest Base Camp you follow the route through Pangboche and Namche Bazaar. While on trek you will enjoy the incredible mountain scenery until you reach Lukla airstrip. You have to book a hotel before your arrival. Day 02: Kathmandu City SightseeingFor sightseeing we guide you to UNESCO world heritage site includes the Pashupatinath temple, Buddhist holy pilgrimage (Buddha and Shyambhu), Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, and Patan Durbar square. After took we drop you back to your hotel room through our private vehicle. Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 4 hrsWe will take the early morning flight from Kathmandu (1400m). There are many flights for Lukla (2840 m). The flight duration from Kathmandu to Lukla is approximately 35 minutes. After reaching Lukla, we take some rest and prepare for the trek consulting with some local porters and head towards Phakding (2610m). Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m )5 – 6 hrsFrom Phakding trail leads to Dudh Koshi River and valley lying to its west bank. Passing Benkar ridge, we head rhododendron, giant firs which makes the trail beautiful to walk in. We climb up to Monjo (2840m) across the kyashar and enter the Sagarmatha National Park lying beyond Monjo. After crossing Dudh Koshi River we reach towards Namche Bazaar (3420m). Day 05: Rest at Namche BazaarWe take some rest prepare for the further higher trek. But we hike some nearer villages called Khumjung and Khunde. from Shyanboche we start our hiking which leads us to Khunde passing stone Buddhist monuments. For Khumjung village, we pass through sacred mountain Khumbila. After launch, we follow towards Chhorkung (3540m) and come back to Namche Bazaar. Day 06: Trek Namche Bazaar to Dole (4,110 m) 6 – 7 hrsAfter trailing, we can see the glimpse of giant Snowy Mountain at Shanasa. 2 and half hours of hike in Shanasa and head towards the top of Mong La Pass where we can view the amazing Mt. Khubilla, Mt. Ama Dablam and Kantega. The trail leads us to a riverside village named Phortse Tenga through the forested region and after a long uphill trek through a beautiful forest of oaks, rhododendrons and pines we reach in Dole. Day 07: Trek Dole to Machherma (4470m.) 4 – 5 hrsClimb up to the open hill for approx thirty minutes to the hill above Dole offering spectacular mountain views of Cho Oyu. Trailing about 2 hours we head towards Luja from Lapharma village. We take a short break here and continue to climb up the valley side above the river and cross spurs to grasp Machharmo where we rest, take lunch and explore around. Day 08: Trek Machhermo to Gokyo (4790m.) 4 – 5 hrsToday is that the massive day of Mount Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake. We tend to get to the land of Gokyo Lakes. It takes one hour to reach Phanga through the leveled path that wind passes through elevated grazing lands. At Phanga we will observe the memorials of individuals who have lost their lives throughout the landslides within the region. On the far side Phanga, we will trek slides down for a brief whereas and so step by step goes up the stone steps for an associate hour to the stream. We cross the metal bridge over the stream and find into the Gokyo-Land. Welcome to Gokyo, we tend to square measure currently facing the primary Lake of Gokyo. Still, walk upon the stone steps for thirty minutes to the Second Lake of Gokyo. 45 minutes of walk on the leveled path on stony steps finally brings us to 3rd Lake of Gokyo. Day 09: Gokyo Valley – Optional Hike to 5th and 6th LakesYou can go for optional Hiking as you can hike to Gokyo Ri known as one of the popular mountains. Hiking towards the north you reach Thonak Tsho called the fourth lake and Ngozumba Tsho called the fifth lake. From Ngozumba Tsho you can see the view of Cho Oyu base camp and Ryan Chung Kang which seems just as a stone throw away. Most importantly, we can explore the Ngozumba Glacier, the biggest glacier in the world. We stay the night in Gokyo. Day 10: Climb Gokyo Ri (5357 m.) & trek to Thagnag (4750m.) 4 – 5 hrsIn case if we didn’t make it to Gokyo Ri the previous day, we will climb on this day. It is the challenging climb as it is lofty and takes 3 – 4 hours to make it to the top. Though it is challenging, it’s adventurous and we can view amazing Gokyo village lying on the edge of 3rd lake unnoticed by Cholatse and the great Nogzumpa Glacier. Thamserku, Cholatse, Kusum Kanguru, Everest, Pumori, Taboche, Makalu, Changtse Lhotse, and Nuptse are the amazing view to see on the way to trailing mountains. The trial resumes from Ngazumpa Glacier to the mountain and then meanders into Thagnak. We take rest this day after and prepare for long hiking days. Day 11: Crossover Chola Pass (5367 m) and trek to Dzongla (4830m.) 7 – 8 hrsToday is the toughest trekking day of our trail as the Cho La pass is steep and includes glacier traverse to the east side. Thought it is not difficult itself but we should be careful during walking to the vertical trail. During the trail, we may slip as the rocks are glazed by ice which makes trail slippery. Trekking through the frozen lake leads us to the top of the pass which is decorated by prayer flags. We can view beautiful peaks during the trail and reach Dzongla village through crevasses. This village provides amazing views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, and Lobuche even Pheriche village far below. Day 12: Trek Dzongla to Lobuche (4940 m) 2 – 3 hrsThis is one of the shortest treks throughout the trail so after a short trek you can get rest and enjoy the surrounding beauty. We head down from Dzongla and walk within a grass covered path whereas enjoying the read of Lobuche Peak. The path curves through the wide river bed before reaching Lobuche. We are able to pay the remainder of the day taking a rest which can help in preparation for consecutive day’s long trek. Day 13: Trek to Gorakshep (5170m.), onward to Everest Base Camp (5364m.) Gorakshep 8 – 9 HrsWe take the path to Mount Everest Base Camp through the once huge Gorak Shep Lake. Continuing straight ahead, we tend to come upon the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. The path from here is misleading; thus, it's necessary that we follow our lead Sherpa diligently. The walk is exhausting as a result of thin air within the high altitude. Before we reach the Basecamp, we walk through moraine, streams and rocky dunes. After we reach base camp, we can see many tents of mountaineers standing out in bright colors. We can also view other peaks such as Pumori, Nuptse, and Khumbuste. After experiencing an outstanding trip we head back to Gorak Shep. We stay overnight and get good rest.Besides we can also visit Kala Patthar so that we can experience an admirable sunset view which is more adorable than a sunrise view. Day 14: Climb to Kala Pattar (5545 m.) & descend to Pheriche (4280 m) 8 – 9 hrsAfter we departed from Gorak Shep, we head to Kala Patthar. If we departure early morning, the climate will be cold due to chilly winds. On our way, we will experience peaks such as Everest, Khumbutse, Changtse tower and Listen. We can enjoy the magnificent Himalaya Panorama and return to Lobuche have dinner and rest at night. Day 15: Trek Pheriche to Pangboche -Tengboche – Namche Bazaar 5 – 6 HrsThe trail takes down through the hillside green forest of juniper trees and rhododendron then we cross the prayer flag festooned bridge over Dudh Koshi River following Dudh Koshi Gorge through pine forest. We can explore colorful pheasants and mountain goats in the forest. We then reach to Sansa experiencing Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Thamserku mountains. We reach Namche Bazaar by passing a winding trail and forest. We take Dinner and stay overnight for good sleep. Day 16: Trek Namche Bazaar to LuklaAs the trail steps down steeply so we need to walk very carefully as our legs are shaky and frequently get and fight in the rocky terrain. After we cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trail becomes natural and easy and we arrive in Lukla. We take a good rest, relax and celebrate and stay overnight. Day 17: Fly back Lukla to KathmanduIn this day, we will have a flight to Kathmandu before that you can have shopping, collect souvenirs as per your wish and head to Kathmandu. Day 18: Final departureThis is the day of your departure so you can have shopping and celebrate your successful trekking journey. Our representative with driver will take you to the airport on time.
