" The Mountain Skyline of Ganesh Himal Range is Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III and Ganesh IV. Trekking along the Ganesh Himal Base camp road will allow you to discover the exotic panorama of its flora and fauna particularly in the spring season. This season offers us an exotic view and a vibrant smell of barberries, premolars, orchids and a variety of ferns all along the trekking route. The walks are along the sparkling hills, beautiful villages of Tamang, terraces of gold rice and mustard, natural warm waters, deep gorges, glaciers, forests of pine trees, Spain's oak, and flourishing rainforest add to the trail. It is between Manaslu Himalayan Range and Budi Gandaki Valley in the west of Kathmandu Valley. The trek starts from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi and takes about seven to 8 hours. Ganesh Himal is visible through Kathmandu Valley. We start our trip to Gatlang the following day. We reach Ganesh base camp on the seventh day of our walk and will spend two nights exploring the valley. Returning from the same route will be an unforgettable lifetime voyage for you. We drive in the picturesque foothills to Syabru Beshi through Dhunche. On the way up the river Trishuli we see Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. We are looking out over the route. As we pass Dhunche, we feel like we're heading deeper. You can see that the roads are somewhat narrow and zig zag, but along the trails you will have a wonderful view over the countryside. We reach Syabrubesi after a drive of approximately seven to eight hours. Syabru Beshi is at the confluence of the Koshi rivers and the Langtang river, the gateway to Langtang Valley. Day 03: Syabru Beshi to Gatlang (2337m/7690ft.) – 5 / 6 hrs walkStarting on our trek from Syabru Beshi to Bahun Danda Pass and then down to the Tamang settlement in the Gatlang region, we follow the zigzag trail to the west. Gatlang is a Tamang village with unique customs and craftsmanship in a magnificent setting, set high up on a slope between terraced areas. Above lay Parvati Kunda, famous for Janai Purnima, where the Sacred Pond and the nearby temple are drawn to thousands of pilgrims. From the viewpoint we can see scenery. Our trekking is made memorable by the cultural show Goljung and Gatlang. A Tamang monastery and lovely Parvaticunda lake can be visited at Gatlang. Day 04: Gatlang to Somdang (3271m/10760Ft) – 6 / 7 hrs walkWe walk the severe but motorized road today. The trail goes down to Yuri Kharka through the forests of pine and rhododendrons and then descends to Khurpu Bhanjyang and down into the river Somdang. The river Somdang is the border between the districts of Rasuwa and Dhading. During treks the views of the Langtang Himal Mountains, the Ganesh Himal, the Phaldor Peak and many other undiscovered mountains and peaks can be enjoyed. We will pass through some Tamang villages where our culture and tradition can be observed closely. Somdang is a village of Tamang, too. The walk passes the 200 m Chukarma Waterfall through a picturesque valley. Day 05: Somdang to Pangsang Pass (La) (3842m/ 12640Ft) – 3 / 4 hrs walkWe walk uphill from Somdang to the lovely jungle and magnificent landscapes around, including the mountain of the Langtang range. We walk along the path that crosses villages, woods and terraces. It is a viewpoint southwest of the village of Somdang with a wide view over the area. The rising summits of Manaslu and the Ganesh Himal Range are situated to the north. The large wilderness is surrounded by a giant entrance gate and is the perfect place to camp and walk in amazing scenery. There are plenty of herbal plants throughout the Ganesh Himal region. Herbs have been transported through an ancient trading route to Tibet and exchanged for salt, cattle, wool and turquoise. The pass is known as one of the most beautiful views of the mountains, which has almost 270 degrees Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and part of the mountains of Annapurna. Since this is off the beaten path, in every location we stay we can not find a tea house, so we recommend to have a own tent. Day 06: Pangsang Pass to Shertung (1875m/ 6188Ft) – 5 / 6 hrs walkTipling is a vast village which hosts two Buddhist gombas, and a Catholic and Protestant churches. They have wood, tin and stones in the houses. The trail we follow is first quite downhill and then it goes up a bit. We cross bamboo, pine, rhododendron and waterfall covered forests along the way. A goma and cremation ground lined with colorful flags is located along the ridge up east for the Buddhists and Christians. Tamang is the majority of the people. For the visitors Jhankri or Shamans, Ghode or Horse Dance, Tamang people have their own rich culture to show that it has been brought back from Tibetan culture long ago. The main holy attractions of the village are Holy Chyamra Danda, Fyanchyat monastery and Sajyat. From this village you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Mountain of Lapsang Karpo, the Ganesh Himal (Yangri) and Ganesh II and III. People here have a distinctive way of life and are committed to making bamboo sticks. Farmers cultivate pumpkins, wheat, barley, buck wheat, maize, and green vegetables. The tourists are greeted with local culture by people in this area. Day 07: Chalise to Hindung (2220m /7425Ft) – 5 / 6 hrs walkFrom Chalise, the trail goes down to Menchet Khola and we walk steeply up and gradually to Hindung across this stream. We can also visit a small yet beautiful village, the Hindu temple Tin Kanya, quickly. After our journey to Khar Khola, we walk about an hour and walk up to Pasabar danda. We can view the "three flowers "of the Tribeni River. Hindus and Buddhists both consider it a holy river. Lord Shiva has built a statue with a small stoned sanctuary on the right edge of the Tribeni River. Day 08: Hindung to Rajgang Kharka – 5 / 6 hrs walkWe will have the uphill trail to Rajgang Kharka starting from Hindung. We seldom find on the way terraces. The road is also flat. The rhododendron and local vegetation forests are crossed. These forests represent the nesting point for different bird and wild animal species. The forests and greenlands of Rajgang Kharka are lovely. With the exception of the winter, local people particularly bring sheep for pasture to domestic animals. Day 09: Rajgang Kharka to Kalo Seto Kunda (Black and White Lake) Ganesh Himal Base camp – 6 / 7 hrs walkWe'll continue the way to Kalo Seto Kunda leaving Rajgang Kharka. The path is narrow and mainly moves uphill or uphill. For a few hours we walk along a forest-covered path. At the end of the trail, we rarely find any trees on the land. Because of high altitude, we will find alpine grass here. During the winter season the lakes are frozen. Day 10: Rest day at the Base CampAt the base camp of Ganesh Himal, we will have our first and last day of rest. Today we can take a rest or take a trip around the Black and White Lake Kalo Seto Kunda. There are two lakes of sacred importance at Kalo Seto Kunda. Day 11: Ganesh Himal Base Camp to Rajgang Kharka – 6 / 7 hrs walkEarly on we walk down the narrow path, where on both sides we will find the alpine grass. Today we must walk around 6-7 hours. We have to walk down the narrow path, where on both sides there is alpine grass. Day 12: Rajgang Kharka to Chalise (2000 m) – 6 / 7 hrs walkWe continue our journey up to Chalise from Rajgang Kharka. The path goes all the way down to Chalise. We go through forests to Hindung during the hike and find some Tamang villages after crossing it. Chalise is the most friendly and welcoming village in the region. Day 13: Chalise to Jharlang – 7 / 8 hrs walkThe beginning of our trail is slightly uphill until we reach the crest. From here, the view of the Ganesh Himal, farmer's terraces, waterfall and several towns can be enjoyed from afar. Now we're going up the ridge and crossing farming terraces and towns. Our trail turns downhill and uphill to Jharlang after we take lunch in Borang. The village of Tamang with its mixed culture can be best described. Day 14: Jharlang to Darkha – 7 / 8 hrs walkAfter crossing the Jharlang landslide, we begin our walk through the ascentic road with view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu. We follow the road to Jharlang, where we walk along the path. Our trail runs through lovely jungles, waterfalls, agricultural terraces and towns. Darkha is on this trek the first town in Brahmin. We can enjoy some distance from here the view of the Aankhu stream. Darkha overnight. Day 15: Darkha to Khahare Bazaar – 7 / 8 hrs walkWe go down to Darkha Phedi on the very last day of our walk. Our road then walks along the banks of the river to Khahare. Khahare Bazaar is a large market with lodges, tea shops, a large school and other buildings that are important. This place is known for the wonderful view of the agricultural terraces. We're in Khahare Bazaar for about seven to eight hours. Day 16: Drive from Khahare Bazaar to Kathmandu by bus /private vehicle – 7 / 8 hrs driveWe head to Trishuli Bazaar and then to Kathmandu after breakfast. We drive through an unpaved road until Dhading Besi, then we drive along the well paved road to Kathmandu. Due to the beautiful views over the rivers, hills, terraces, forests and villages, it can best be defined as a scenic journey. Day 18: Final Departure
