Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, the world’s most popular organized teahouse trekking in the Annapurna Region. This trek offers to experience the beautiful sub-tropical valleys, dense forests of rhododendron and icy waterfalls. From every angle during the trek you will enjoy a tantalizing glimpse of Himalayan peaks from Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m.), Mt. Machapurhre (Fish Tail) (6993m), Mt. Tukuche (6920m), Mt. Nilgiri ( 6940m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Annapurna South (7219m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6931m) to some other many smaller peaks during the trip. From Poon Hill (3210m). Also the view of the mesmerizing sunrise and Himalayan mountain range early in the morning. This entire trekking area is mainly dominated by the Gurungs and Magars both are ethnic people of Nepal. The main attraction of this trek is viewed by various species of birds, local culture and tradition, subtropical forest, Dense Rhododendron flower and many more.

Ghandruk village provides to insight the lifestyles of Gurung ethnic community of Nepal. Also to see the neat slate-roofed houses are clustered on the canyon wall amidst a complicated network of farming terraces, great views of the Himalayas that includes Macchapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. From Pokhara, 42 km drive and 5–6 hours in walking distance. Pothana is another popular village where you will encounter the same ethnic community as in the Ghandruk village. This village is situated on the ridge of the hill from where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Annapurna Himalayan range, Fishtail and green valley of Pokhara

The itinerary of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek can be made shorter without visiting Ghandruk village. Those who have longer holiday can hike through Ghandruk and end the trip in PokharaDespite the choices of routes you can enjoy the best panoramic Mountain View, experience Gurung culture, and lifestyle and make a circuit. This is truly a rewarding trek to every lover of nature.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport 

Our tour guide or any representative team from Great Vision Trek and Expedition will pick you up and drop to your hotel. You have to book a hotel before your arrival.

Day 02: Visit Site

For sightseeing we guide you to UNESCO world heritage site includes the Pashupatinath temple, Buddhist holy pilgrimage (Buddha and Shyambhu), Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, and Patan Durbar square. After took we drop you back to your hotel room through our private vehicle.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)

As an option, the private / tourist coach or flight as. In the afternoon, we visit the Devis Falls and the waterfall entails a very deep and narrow canal. The Guptesowri Grotto and the Fewa Lake, which are the most important tourist attractions in Pokhara and the second largest lake in Nepal. Dinner as your choice in the hotel: Hotel Driving Time: 6 hours (200 km) Difference in length: 514 m. Free time in the evening spend in the city and in the hotel overnight. 

Day 04: Trek Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m)

We start our journey to Tikhedunga after an hour drive to Naya Pul. For about 4 hours, it is quite easy to walk. All the way to Tikhedunga we follow a little stream. Time: 1 hour walking: 4 hours Difference: + 720 m( 3280 ft) in altitude.

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860m)

We are now walking for about 7 hours through Ulleri and the villages of Nangethati. The rocky steep climb to Ulleri from Tikhedhunga begins our journey, a large Magar village 2070 m above sea level. We pass through the lovely forests of rhododendrons that would be colorful if our trek was in bloom in April and May. Overnight: Lodge Walking Time: 7-8 hours Elevation difference: + 1320 m 

Day 06: Trek Ghorepani to Tadapani (2590m)

Aftre early morning, we hike to Poon Hill (3210m) for the wonderful mountain scenery of Dhaulagiri( 8167m), Machhapuchhre (commonly called Fishtail(6998m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II( 7939m), Annapurna III(7555m), Annapurna IV(7525m), Himchuli(6441m), Annapurna South(7219m), Tukuche Peak(6920m), and Lamjung Himal(6986m). We then go back to Ghorepani. We continue our trek after breakfast and climb a small hill that leaves behind Poon Hill. The trail then goes down to Tadapani through dense, bird-filled moose forests. Difference in elevation: -2700m Overnight: Lodge Walking time: 4 to 5 horas 

Day 07: Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m)

The densely-wooded rhododendron forest leads to one of Nepal's largest gurung villages, Ghandruk (1940 m). It is a very interesting and fascinating village of Gurung, where you can see an old Gurung Culture Museum. Panoramic views of South Annapurna, Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) and Himchuli can be enjoyed. Living hours:-650 m Difference of lift:-3 to 4 hours 

Day 08: Trek Ghandruk to Naya Pul and drive to Pokhara (520m)

Quite easy and pleasant walk down to Naya pul and a short drive down to Pokhara. Time: 4 hours Driving Difference:-1120 m Difference in lift:-1120 m.

Day 09: Drive Pokhara to Chitwan (815m)

A scenic drive to Chitwan National Park for approximately 4 hours. We visit the village and the museum in Tharu in the afternoon. Driving times: 4 hours Difference in height: -5m Overnight: Wildlife Resort

Day 10: Chitwan Jungle Safari

We have a full day of jungle excursions to see some 50 animal species, including two crocodile types, four types of cheer, a horned rhinoceros, sloth bari and more than 450 exotic bird species, including the elephant back safari. You can find a leopard, royal Bengali tiger, python or dolphin if you are really lucky. Wildlife Resort: Overnight. 

Day 11: Drive Chitwan to Kathmandu (1334m)

In the morning which is the day of departure, we have our breakfast in the hotel and drive back to Kathmandu which takes about 6 to 7 hours. After we arrive in Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel where you can relax and stay overnight.

Day 12: Departure 

This the day of saying goodbye and looking forward to having us for the next visit.
