Tour Overview

Langtang Gosainkund trek offers rich natural beauty upon arrival at the beautiful hill town of Syabrubensi, you begin the trek through beautiful and conifer forests of the Langtang National Park towards the higher altitude. The entire trekking route looks like a natural garden of wild colorful flowers.

First, you will reach the Langtang valley and then walk over the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin and trek further up the Sacred Lake of Gosainkund(4380 m). The area around Lake Gosainkunda is most of the time enveloped in mist, and on clear weather, we can see beautiful mountains to the north. In the winter the lake remains frozen. Here, you will find peace and serene environment. Gosainkund is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhist, and every full moon day in the month of August many visitors throng to celebrate the Gosainkund festival. From Gosainkund you will enjoy panoramic views of snow-clad mountains extended as far as the Annapurna Himalayan Range. The large black rock in the middle of the Gosainkund Lake is regarded as remains of Shiva and it is believed that the waters of the lake flow through the underground channel to the water basin of Khumbheshwar temple in Patan.

Crossing Laurabina La Pass at (4,615m), adjoining the Gosainkund and Helambu region is another challenge for the adventure enthusiasts. During the Langtang and Gosainkund trekking, you will have an opportunity to explore the whole range of Himalayan topography, ethnic culture, and lifestyle of the local people. Besides, you will also have a chance to see some interesting animals and birds on the side of trails. Among those found in the Langtang National Park are monkeys, musk deer, pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful pheasant.
