Lower Dolpa trekking has its own charm, located in the remote and isolated western part of Nepal. It is famous for Shey Phoksundo National Park which is one of the largest National Park that contains Nepal’s deepest lake, Phoksundo Lake and rich wildlife that includes blue ship and elusive Snow Leopard. During the trek, pass along three high passes of this region they are: Numa La (5,159m), Kangmara La (5,115m) and Baga La (5,190m). We come across the protected area where we get chance to explore beautiful flora and fauna with the amazing view of Phoksundo Lake. As the region is restricted, we need the special permit for trekking Lower Dolpo from the immigration office. Though this region is usually dry and unproductive that makes people’s daily life difficult but people here are very friendly and humble. Approx 5000 people live in this region. Lower Dolpo Trek starts and ends in Juphal. The trekking is adventurous and challenging too and it has been very popular among the trekkers after the route has opened. The main attraction of this Dolpo Trek is the ancient village, beautiful lakes, Tibetan plateau, Buddhist monasteries, traditional art, and culture and people lifestyle and a chance to see traders passing with yaks laden. Since the people’s daily life is difficult, they earn by trading items like cotton, rice, salt and barley in Tibet for livelihood.

Day 01: Arrival in the Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

 Our tour guide or any representative team from Great Vision Trek and Expedition will pick you up and drop to your hotel. You have to book a hotel before your arrival.

 Day 02: Trek Preparation and city tour (1350m)

For sightseeing we guide you to UNESCO world heritage site includes the Pashupatinath temple, Buddhist holy pilgrimage (Buddha and Shyambhu), Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square and Patan Durbar square. After took we drop you back to your hotel room through our private vehicle.

 Day 03: Fly to Nepaljung and overnight at Nepaljung (150m)

 Next day, we will take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepal experiencing Himalaya views. After we reach Nepalgunj, we will transfer to the Hotel we have booked.

Day 04: from Jhupal to Dunai (2140m) 2-3 hours

After breakfast, taking a flight to Jhupal from Nepalgunj airport. After arrival to Jhupal, local porters will carry the luggage after we have our lunch then walk down towards Thuli Bheri Riverbank, passing the terraced field and beautiful village. We continue on a flat path, on the river, until we reach Dunai.

Day 05: Dunai to Tarakot (2337m)/ 5-6 hours

Day 19: Final Departure

This is your last day in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your meal, go shopping before the flight. Our representative with driver will take you to the airport for departure.
