Mount Makalu (8463m) is located at Mahalangur Himalayas 19km southeast of Mt. Everest is the fifth highest peak in the world, lying in the Makalu Barun National Park that covers 2330 sq.km area extends from Solukhumbu and Sankhuwasabha districts of Nepal. Trekking in this region offers one with a great experience of walking and exploring natural Panorama. Makalu Base Camp Trek offers the amazing view of mountains includes Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Ama Dablam (6456m), Cho Oyu (8152m) and Makalu (8463m). It is also known as for Makalu adventure treks.

Makalu base camp trek is often fairly difficult in some parts relying upon your level of physical fitness. Outstanding scenery of mountain peak Base Camp Trek’s route considerably provides distinctive cultural heritage and unimaginable views of mountain peaks. The trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar of Mid-eastern Nepal for half an hour’s. The path to Makalu Base Camp Trek envelops plain, the subtropical vale of Arun Geographic Region to extraordinary temperate passes referred to as Keke La pass (4230m) and Tutu La pass (4200m), several edges ascend up from the Barun river valley that is off the beaten middle hill trails.

Gurung, Rai, and sherpa are the most habitats in this region. The paths follow the gorgeous Barun stream vale within the mountain peak Barun park, crossing Shipton pass (4127 m) before incoming at mountain peak Base Camp (5000 m). Here we can view the south face of the mountain peak, likewise as Mount Everest and Lhotse. Also, you'll experience the spectacular view of the mountain, Glacier Lake, and Hungu vale.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
  • Day 02: Trekking prepration
  • Day 03: Fly to Tumlingtar (50 minutes) and drive to Chichira (1980m): 3-4 hours
  • Day 04: Trek from Chichira to Num (1560m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 05: Trek from Num to Seduwa (1500m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 06: Trek from Seduwa to Tashigaon (21oom): 4-5 hours
  • Day 07: Trek from Tashigaon to Khongma  Danda (3500m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 08: Trek from Khongma Danda to Mumbuk (3550m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 09: Trek from Mumbuk to Yangri Kharka (3557m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 10: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Langmale Kharka (4410m): 5-6 hours
  • Day 11: Trek from Langmale Kharka to Makalu Base Camp (4870m): 6-7 hours
  • Day 12: Acclimatization day.
  • Day 13: Trek from Makalu Base Camp to Yangri Kharka: 6-7 hours
  • Day 14: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Dobate: 6-7 hours
  • Day 15: Trek from Dobate to Khongma Danda: 5-6 hours
  • Day 16: Trek from Khongma Danda to Tashigaon: 4-5 hours
  • Day 17: Trek from Tashigaon to Seduwa: 4-5 hours
  • Day 18: Trek from  Seduwa to Num: 5-6 hours
  • Day 19: Trek from Num to Tumlingtar: 6-7 hours
  • Day 20: Back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 21: Final departure.
