Details Itinerary Photos Tour Overview Manaslu Circuit Trek, world’s eighth highest mountain Mt. Manaslu (8163m) in the west part of Nepal. It is an off- the -beaten area trek recommended for those who are interested in Nepal’s authentic village experiences and culture and also want to get away from the hurly-burly of city life. This classic trek is rewarded with its spectacular mountain views, topographically difficult terrain and typical culture and traditional lifestyle of Gurung ethnic group of people of Nepal and Tibetan inhabitants of the region The living Buddhist culture are virtually untouched because of the remote location. The trail that takes you up through the riverside the Budhi Gandaki is one of the most challenging routes in Nepal. The trail crosses suspension bridges and up and down over ridges and onto shelves to bypass cliffs through fields of barley, following an ancient salt trading route that connects Tibet with Nepal since time immemorial. Climbing higher you will encounter clusters of homes before the mountain wall of the Himalaya and visit the number of monasteries, mani walls, and shortens along the route. Your trekking journey to Manaslu circuit begins with a 7-8 hour drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar, Gorkha. Then, the following day you hike through the lush rice terraces and thatched huts to the north along with sprawling Gurung villages perched on high, terraced hilltops. At Nupri village, people from Tibet origin inhabit and they speak their own dialect, partly Tibetan and partly Gurung, and live in a Tibetan lifestyle. Spectacular mountain panoramas, dominated by Mount Manaslu itself, the scenic beauty, perennial sources of water from glaciers, waterfalls and exotic cultural values are majors highlights of the trek of the Manaslu region. The valley above Samdo adjoining the border of Tibet is beautiful. After crossing the snow-covered Larkya La pass (5160m) you will make your way to Bhimthang and Tilje through tropical areas, bursting with ferns, bamboo, pine trees and finally you reach Jagat. From Jagat, you will board a vehicle that transfers you to Kathmandu. Manaslu circuit trek can be done in lodge style. Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and Permits preparation for the trekFor sightseeing we guide you to UNESCO world heritage site includes the Pashupatinath temple, Buddhist holy pilgrimage (Buddha and Shyambhu), Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, and Patan Durbar square. After took we drop you back to your hotel room through our private vehicle. Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (650 m) by a private jeep & overnight stay in the lodgeEarly morning after breakfast, we will drive to Arughat (650m) by a private jeep. From Kathmandu, we will have a comfortable drive till Dhading Besi then the road gets bumpy with windy dirt till we reach Arughat. We will stay overnight here. Day 04: Trek from Arughat to Lapubeshi (880m)Our trail starts from Arughat to Lapubeshi through Soti Khola. We walk on the rough parts of Budhi Gandaki and climb up and down rocky hills and reach the village of Lapubeshi. Day 05: Trek from Lapubeshi to Tatopani( 930m)We walk on the slippery rocks so you must be very careful. During the trail, we visit the beautiful tropical vegetation with thrilling suspension bridges and head towards Machhakola, a pleasant village lying on the slopes of the hill. Then we head to a narrow trail leading us to Tatopani (930m). We stay overnight in a lodge. Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Jagat (1370m) From Tatopani, we walk through Dobhan (1070m), a small village then to Shyaule Bhatti, Yuru (1330m) via Budhi Gandaki. After 2 to 3 hours of walk from Yuru, we will reach Jagat (1370m). Day 07: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1865m)We walk through Ghatte Khola to Phillip where we can see the large and prosperous village of Phillim. From Phillip, we walk through George, grassy slopes with tall pine trees, cross Budhi Gandaki Bridge where we can see large Shar Khola and Tsum valley on the opposite side of the bank. The trail widens from the western side where we walk through the bamboo forest leading us to Deng. We stay overnight. Day 08: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630m)Trailing starts from Deng to Bihi Phedi along Budhi Gandaki and Sringi Khola passing the forest we reach Ghap. From Ghap we walk through the dense forest of rhododendron, fir, and bamboo where we can see various birds and animals including Nepali’s national bird, Danphe enter Namrung via a stone archway. Day 09: Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon (3850m)From Namrung, we walk past a mani wall to Lho experiencing beautiful forest of firs, oaks and rhododendron and beautiful mountains like Manaslu, Manaslu North, and Naike Peak. Further trailing down to Sama Gaon discovering river, glacier. The glimpse of mountains like Then we head steeply down and head to Sama Gaon discovering river originates from the glacier of Pungyen, a glimpse of mountains like Hiunchuli (7,893m), Manaslu and Ngadhi Chuli (7,879m). We can see extension pastures and fields of Samagaun and we stay overnight here. Day 10: Manaslu Base Camp (5135) along Birendra LakeExploring Manaslu Base Camp (5,135m) along Birendra Lake and climb Pungyen Gompa. Interested can climb up to the Manaslu base camp or roam around the glacial lake where ice blocks tumble into the lake. We get back to Sama Gaon after exploration and have a good dinner. We stay overnight here. Day 11: Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3860m)Early morning we trail to the grazing area leading to the valley Samdo. During the trail, we come across the beautiful view of Manaslu that looks outstanding. Day 12: Acclimatization day in SamdoAfter acclimatization, we explore grassy grazing area, capture amazing Manaslu standing right in front. We will walk across the wooden bridge which is marked by many walls. We get back to Samdo to the Hotel where we take rest and relax. Day 13: Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala (4470m)After reaching Samdo we walk passing wooden bridge called old mani walls which leads us to the valley called Larka Glacier. The trail to Salka Khola offers the view of the stone guest house called Dharamsala. We stay here in a Lodge. Day 14: Trek from Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larke Pass (5160m)We walk early from Dharmasala as today we will have the longest and toughest trek of this trail around Manaslu crossing the Larkya La Pass (5160m). We walk across the moraines of the glacier to the pass along the sightseeing of Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, the huge Annapurna II and Kangguru from the pass. Day 15: Trekking Bimthang to Tilije (2281 m).We walk through the rhododendron forest to Karcher which is the highest cultivation place then descend to Gho village. We head to Tilje village, crossing the Dudh Koshi and the wooden bridge. Day 16: Trek from Tilije to Jagat (1410m)We walk through the easy trail where we climb up the paddy fields to small Karcha La Pass and walk across through fig tree and forest of rhododendron and for leading us to Tilje. Day 17: Trek from Jagat to Beshisahar (7,90We walk through the forest of pine and rhododendron from Jagat that will lead to Bahundanda. From Bahundanda we return back to Besisahar which is the headquarter of Lamjung District. Day 18: Drive back from Beshisahar to KathmanduFrom Besisahar we drive back to Kathmandu by jeep. Day 19: Transfer to international airport for your final departure (Trip ends.)This is your last day in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your meal, go shopping before a flight.
