                         Nar Phu Valley trek, newly popular trail situated in Annapurna region of Nepal. The main attraction of this trek is it provides an opportunity to explore two hidden remote valleys i.e Nar and Phu located in the upper Mustang districts. This trail is also known as “Hidden Valley Trek of Nepal”. During the trial, we can have an amazing view of Annapurna massif, Langtang, Pisang, Chulus, Manaslu, Kangru and other various peaks including peaceful forest, glaciers, narrow canyon and rock formations backed up by the remote valley. The trail takes us to The Kang La Pass (5306m), the highest point of the trail. Though this trail is one of the beautiful destinations it is challenging as well and very few trekkers had successes but those who succeed have a lifetime achievement.

                         The Phu valley is rich in its cultural aspect as it holds great importance for Buddhist pilgrims. Most of the people visit here to Thashi Gompa so to receive blessings from Lama Rinpoche. People here follow unique Himalayan culture. Most of the people are Gurung, Lama, and Tamang. Trekkers will get chance to experience their unique culture and their lifestyle. The best time to visit this trail is on March-May and September- December.  Great Vision provides required Nar Phu valley trek itinerary with Nar Phu valley trek map. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to the hotel

            Our tour guide or any representative team from Great Vision Trek and Expedition will pick you up and drop to your hotel. You have to book a hotel before your arrival.

Day 2: City Tour and Preparation for trek  

          For sightseeing we guide you to UNESCO world heritage site includes the Pashupatinath temple, Buddhist holy pilgrimage (Buddha and Shyambhu), Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square and Patan Durbar square. After took we drop you back to your hotel room through our private vehicle.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule

          Next morning, after you have a delicious breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule by bus.

Day 4: Trek from Bhulbhule to Jagat

           After we reach Bhulbhule, we take rest and begin our trek to Jagat. We walk through down the Trishuli river experiencing green hills, Farming terraces, mountains, etc. Walking for about 8 to 9 hours takes us to Jagat where we stay overnight and have dinner.

Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Dharapani (1860m)

         After breakfast, the trail climbs up through the rocky forest leading to Tibetan tiny Village Chamje. Walking for 5 to 6 hours through wheat, potato and barley fields, pine forest, the trail takes us to Dharapani, big Tibetan village where we stay overnight.

Day 6: Trek from Dharapani to Koto (2600m)

           After breakfast, we trail towards the forest ridge experiencing landscape, sensational views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung, we head towards Koto (2600m).

Day 7: Trek from Koto to Meta (3560m) (Methang)

          After breakfast, we leave koto behind and head towards Meta (3560m) also known as Methang through the forest and across the silent river. We stay overnight and have delicious dinner.

Day 8: Trek from Meta to Phu (4080m): 7-8 hours

           Phu is the destination set for today so we wake up early and after breakfast continues our trail walking up and down the hills, cross the suspension bridge and ascend to Lower and Upper Chyako. After passing the settlement area, we head to Khampa then to entrance gate that takes us to the hidden valley Phu. The valley is widened and well maintained. We stay overnight at the Hotel and take delicious dinner.

Day 9: Rest day

    On this day we explore the unique culture of the people living in the village. At night, we head back to the Hotel and have dinner.

Day 10: Trek from Phu to Naar (4110m)

          After breakfast, we pass through many suspension bridges till we reach Mahendra pul that takes about 4 hours. We head towards the high suspension bridge over Gorge of Lapche River taking us to Nar village. We can visit many monasteries and view peaks including Pisang. We stay overnight here.

Day 11: Rest day at Naar (4110m)

       Explore the Nar valley, climb the pass and go for hiking also explore the unique culture of the people living in the village. At night, we head back to the Hotel and have dinner.

Day 12: Trek from Naar to Nawal (3660m)

         We wake up early and after breakfast continue our trail to Nawal (3660m) through Kang La pass (5322m). 

Day 13: Trek from Nawal to Manang

            Early Morning, we trail towards Manang through Paugh, a village where we can experience the beautiful view of Annapurna range. For 4 to 5 hours from  Mungli and Annapurna trail we reach our destination Manag where we stay overnight here.

Day 14: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4110m)

           From Manang village, the path crosses a stream, climbs to a village of Tenki higher than Manang, and so continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi valley turning northwest ups the valley of Jarsang Khola. The path follows this valley northward, passing many pastures, a scrub of juniper trees because it steadily gains elevation. The path more passes close to the little village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just under the rootage. Now the path goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After passing the wooden bridge, we pass across ancient Mani wall on nice grassland.  Near the nice mani wall, there is another tiny village called Yak Kharka where we stay overnight.

Day 15: Trekking Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4600m)

           We trail towards the tiny busy settlement for the tired trekkers and climbers. Trekkers like us use this point as a base camp. Some guests additionally try a hike to the High Camp today so the next day will be easier for them. But, Himalayan Glacier's team leader doesn't advise this. For night stay we choose Thorong Phedicause it belongs to Lower Altitude, sleeping at high altitude cause risking. 

Day 16: Trek from Thorong Phedi (4600m) to Muktinath (3800m)

            Crossing the Thorong La Pass height of (5,416m/17,764ft) is the highlight of this trek. we begin our journey early morning. However, the picturesque mountain vistas are overcompensated the strenuous practice the toilsome path. Before sunset, our target would be to reach Muktinath which is a holy site for both Hindus and Buddhist. We can stroll around the area that hosts a Vishnu temple and a monastery near.

Day 17: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom

        On this day we climb down towards the Kali Gandaki Gorge and pass Jharkot and Khingar villages, a typical Tibetan architecture and head towards Jomsom. We stay overnight here.

Day 18: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara

           We take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara which is about 30 minutes flight. After we reach Pokhara we head to Hotel and rest.

Day 19: Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu

           After breakfast, we take a local bus and head towards Kathmandu which is about 5 to 6 hours drive. After we reach Kathmandu, you are taken to the Hotel where you will have delicious traditional dinner and rest.

Day 20: Final Departure

         This is your last day in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your meal, go shopping before the flight. Our representative with driver will take you to the airport for departure.
